Weekly Prep Thread 3 Feb - 9 Feb

Ok, to kick off this week, I rotated the water (200 gal) and placed an order for:

TVP - Beef Flavored 40 oz. #10 can - 1
TVP - Chicken Flavored 33 oz. #10 can - 1
TVP - Bacon Flavored Crumbles 56 oz. #10 Can - 1
Spaghetti - 51 oz. #10 can - 1
Elbow Macaroni 50 oz. #10 can - 2
Buttermilk Pancake Mix 63 oz. #10 can - 1
Corn Muffin Mix 72 oz. #10 can - 1
Dehydrated Potato Dices 36 oz. #10 can - 9
Chicken Bullion 1 lb. Mylar - 1
Beef Bullion 1 lb. Mylar - 1

We also picked up a couple flats each of canned green beans, sweet corn, veg-all, stewed tomatoes, and ro-tel as well as some more canned soups (45), peanut butter (4 mongo size jars), honey (3 x 3lbs), and chili (20 cans) that was on sale.

Picked up about 35 oz in silver.

I am fast becoming broke...

How about y'all?

Oh, and added three 24-roll packs tp to the stash.

You are not going broke. You are getting rid of your lousy FRN's and buying something of value. Guns, Grub and Gold.( I like Silver better!)

Ah what the heck I'll jump in..this week was focused on chainsaw stuff, extra chains, oil/gas mix and bar oil to feed the ol' reliable Stihl. Even considering a new saw and a used backup saw for my older model because Stihl stopped production of that model.
Plan on a trip to the "BIG CITY/ Belly of the beast" and join a food coop to purchase more beans, lentils etc.The coop offers some pretty good prices that beats the internet merchants, especially with the new increased shipping costs.
Good luck

All my prep money this week is going to get our cat fixed.
Actually it could be considered a prep, if you've ever been around a cat that is in heat, the nonstop meowing, climbing the walls and trying to get out will drive you crazy.

So to prevent any extra stress in a SHTF scenario... it's probabaly a good idea.
Plus we don't need anymore kitty cats to feed... OK I can already hear an eat the cats in an emergency thread coming... won't be doing that, err at least while my wife is still alive, anyway.

Peace
TLM

I did that the weekend before last. 9mm Springfield.

Went to Costco, spent a couple hundred bucks this weekend. First purchase of PM's ($1k in silver) this week too. It's currently on it's way. Working on getting our cars up to par and dependable.

Near plan: More food, purchase $1-2k in gold, buy a shotgun at the gun show in 2 weeks.

Well shucky darn, look at all these GIM members coming at of the woodwork with their prep stuff.
I suspect there are many more folks here that do a weekly/monthly routine at their nearest food depot..."just in case", but that's their biz not mine.
Heirloom seed order this week with 3 other families for our greenhouse. this years veg. plant production and canning....NO we aint Mormons!
Good luck, brewer

kinda strapped (between jobs) so there is very little prepping I can do

Went to bank(HSBC).........and got 20 dollars worth of nickels.......(lady had the go in the back because she didnt have 6 measly rolls) ......gave me instruction to "call in advance next time"

for those who dont know ..........a nickel is worth about 6 cents and climbing before the middle of next year they are going to be some VERY AGRESSIVE changes to many nickles you are allowed to have...

wait and see
